in flux

This project was inspired by Isamu Noguchi's biomorphic sculptures that were characterized by both organic and geometric forms.
Through abstraction, simplification, and translation, I attempt to convey the essence of Noguchi's work through abstract graphic forms.

Collage Series of four inspired by Noguchi's forms.
The collages were created emphasizing the words that were imagined from Noguchi's sculptures: hollow, mass, tight, loose.

I then attempted to create an extension while retaining the qualities of the earlier compositions.
Numerous following compositions were made to wrap around a wine bottle as the compositions suggested olfactory senses/aroma/taste.
